Hypnosis Therapy: What You Should Know

“Thoughts of your mind have made you what you are and thoughts of your mind will make you what you become from this day forward.“
-Dr. Catherine Ponder, One of the World’s Leading Prosperity Writers.
What really is hypnosis therapy, anyway?
Hypnosis is a natural state of consciousness described as deep relaxation. It is the same state you experience immediately before you fall asleep, when you wake up in the morning, while daydreaming, and at any time of focused consciousness. You have also experienced this state if you have ever become “entranced” while reading a book for hours or taken a drive along a familiar route and practically “have forgotten you were driving”, as if you were on autopilot. In this state, your mind becomes more focused so you can bypass the conscious mind, and then communicate directly to the subconscious part of the mind. Anybody who wants to experience this state is able to. You remain in control the entire duration of the experience, and it is not possible to get “stuck” in the “trance”.
Hypnosis is simply a technique used to tap into the subconscious mind. This part of the mind stores every thought and experience from the past, as well as all of your beliefs. Hypnosis opens the doors to the subconscious mind allowing positive suggestions of change and healing to take place. Hypnosis therapy, also known as hypnotherapy, has helped millions of people take control of their lives. Studies have shown that by just simply being in this state of deep consciousness reduces stress. The power of the mind is incredible, if you use it to your advantage, it can help you dramatically change old habits or patterns, it can help reduce pain, and it can even shift your perception to your advantage.
Thousands of conditions can be addressed through hypnosis therapy. Some of the most common uses include:
- Weight Management
- Quitting Smoking
- Self-Esteem/Confidence
- Pain Relief
- Fear
- Insomnia
- Stress Reduction
- Childbirth
- Addictions
- Fitness Enhancement
- Spiritual Enhancement
- Past Trauma
Hypnosis therapy can be experienced in several different places, from the comfort of your own home to a more therapuetic setting. In other words, you have just discovered a simple tool that can help you make the changes you want in your life.
