I have seen all over the internet Hypnosis Cd’s, subliminal CD’s, meditations CD’s… Has anybody actually tried them consistently and derived any benefits? I am very curious to try one out. The main premise of the CD’s are tapping into the unconscious mind and reprogramming for positive changes through repetition. Has anyone tried it? Is it worth the money?
yea, tried it once and love the after effects.
i used to one to improve my concentration in lieu of my exams and it’s awesome!!

I went from a size 18 down to a size 6 and I weighted 175 lbs and I weight 124 lbs today. When I walked in the door I was a size 48 waist approaching fast the size 50 waist and I weighted 268 lbs and now I’m at 185 lbs.

I have just downloaded wendi’s self-hypnosis for Ultimate Confidence.
Do these techniques really claim to give what they promise? or is hypnosis just a way just to make you feel good at that moment?
Has anyone from Y answers undergone such sessions and experienced a positive change?

I dont know but you might have just stumbled onto somthing ! Yes I do believe I want to hypnotize myself to Umm does it say you can change yourself into a genius ? Oh and how do I snap myself out of it should I just snap my fingers at somtime or is there a key !

I’ve been struggling with weight loss and depression the past 2 1/2 years. The depression is because of my not being able to lose weight. I’m really not that big, in fact some people might call me thin. I don’t know. But I really can’t wear anything that I think looks good on me and blah blah blah.. Anyways, I was wondering if there was some sort of doctor I can go to that can give me a diet or exercise type of plan..? Or if they can help me in any way possible. I was going to go to Positive Changes Hypnosis Center, but it’s just too expensive..

I constantly bite my nails, my lips, the inside of my cheeks, my tongue, and food. I seem to have an oral fixation, a sort of anxious habit, but it is becoming very harmful. My mouth is always sore and often bleeding, yet I cannot stop. My dentist told me that biting the inside of my mouth to extremes is, in a sense, self-mutilation. It has got to stop.
I’m wondering if hypnosis, such as at Positive Changes, could help with my stress management and get rid of my biting? I’ve read testimonials about people who have stopped biting their nails, but what if mine is more than my nails? I’m also afraid that if I get rid of biting, that my anxious habit will simply transfer to something else, like the people who stop food addictions and become alchoholics. What should I do?
How about instead of dealing with the symptom – the biting – you deal with whatever has lead you to feeling anxious all the time?
You need to find out what triggered it, and alternative methods of dealing with it. You may be helped by therapy, medication, meditation, etc. Then its far less likely that you will transfer to another form of self harm, if you do manage to conquer this one.

Hi, I’m Sylvia Huelsman and I’m over 60. I came to Positive Changes because I was tired of losing weight over and over again. What finally brought me here was we had a retirement party for someone I used to work with and we took a picture. When I looked at my picture I thought, oh my goodness, I need to do something drastic. So, I had tried all kinds of other things and I saw the ad for Positive Changes and I decided to give that a try. My background is in education and mental health and both of the things they do here made a lot of sense to me. We had classes. Nutrition classes were very helpful for me. The deep relaxation that we do helps to get what they are trying to teach you into your head. I thought both of those were very important to me. Everything before has always been what you can’t do. With Positive Changes they make a real effort to tell you what you can do. All the changes that you can make that will be helpful to you in maintaining this for a very long time, for the rest of your life. It was easy. It was just small changes. One of the things they advocate is drinking water. That was a struggle for me because I never drank water. I always had something in it like coffee, tea, colas whatever. So, that was one of the things that’s been a lifestyle change. They don’t tell you that there is anything that you can’t eat. It’s generally you can eat what you want but a lot of it has to do will the balance of what you eat. They encourage you to exercise. I’m now exercising more than I have exercised my entire life. One of the things that have helped me a lot are some of the affirmations that we do. I feel so good that I wouldn’t want to go back to the way I was. I really feel that I own my weight loss to the Positive Changes program because it gives you all the tools that you need. Not only to lose the weight to begin with but to continue that weight loss for the rest of my life.

The best results I’ve found with meditation and music is to make your own CD so that the songs you’ll be hearing are relaxing to you or special to you- that way you know you won’t get some tracks that piss you off and ruin your time.
