After discovery, I found that the nail biting resulted more from stress and nervous habits in my life, something I had dealt with for over 30 years. I was excited to start using this method to overcome my nail biting and the end result was also to relieve my stress and nervous habits. It definitely has done that.

Will hypnosis really help me work this problem out?

Change is hard for anyone especially when its for the better. I am on a journey, that I absolutely can’t turn back from; my life depends on it. I am 22 years old, and I am drastically overweight. Which is not shocking considering that 2/3 of Americans are overweight. Since i made the choice to get myself into this situation; I’m making the choice to remove myself from this situation. I have too many issues that need to be dealt with from the inside out. I can not continue to place blame on others for the way I am. I must and I am going to take full accountability for my actions. My goals are to workout five times a week, to go raw for thirty days, to reconnect with God, and maintain only positive healthy thoughts. I am not expecting support from my family, since i feel that the majority of them are extremely negative. I will only tell people who i feel i can trust and that are non-judging and concerned. Like I said earlier i have various issues from emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual that needs to be dealt with. this is definitely going to a challenge, but I’m all out of options and almost time.

Hypnosis is just a tool. It’s entirely dependent on your own wishes. The CSI-esque idea that you can be randomly hypnotized to jump off balconies etc is just tv. If you wish to lose weight and are determined, you’ve effectively done some of the hypnosis already. Good use of hypnosis will simply be a bit of a prod in the right direction for you.

Note that if you have underlying issues that caused your obesity (ie overeating caused by child abuse) then you should probably work on that first, otherwise those underlying issues will nullify the hypnosis (and your own intentions) to a great/whole degree. If your doctor/hypnotist is any good, she/he will explain all this to you.

Not so sure about the God part, as I am agnostic/atheist. But good luck.

i am trying to improve my beliefs of hypnosis, could this help?

hello everyone. I still have a little doubt about hypnosis. I stay positive but there is always that little voice in the back of the head that says "no". I am trying to turn that "no" into a "yes, hypnosis works". So here is what I am doing. I wrote an affirmation, "I deeply and completely believe the possibilities of hypnosis". I am going to record this and put it on a mp3 and listen to it. I would like to add that i also have a lot of other little beliefs that I would like to change. You know like self confidence problems, etc. I was thinking maybe just making one big track to improve my overall positive belief system. all the affirmations would be like "I deeply and completely believe _________". I have a list of 20 of them that I actually already wrote down. I want to record them all on 1 track, repeating each affirmation 5x after another. I was wondering if its okay to have all on 1 track playing at the same time? remember this is not really hypnosis for improvement, i am just trying to improve my belief in hypnosis. I already know how to get in a legit trance so its all good as long as this is fine!

If you r already in a trance, what’s 2 believe. Please don’t record all those sayings at one time, you will believe in hypnosis but be psychotic also.

has anyone ever tried positive changes hypnosis?

they have a weight loss program I was wodering if anyone tried it and got results. I am skeptical

Positive Change Hypnosis is a franchise system that has you listen to tapes. All of the centers I have know have gone out of business. Personally I had problems with how some of the operators I have had conversations with dealt with hypnosis.

I might try an experienced hypnotherapist or just get some tapes. Books on self hypnosis are another good resource.

Just my opinion (with over 500 hours of training) but I would try another approach to hypnosis.
