hypnotherapy to treat depression?
Published by admin on July 31, 2010my mom has clinical depression and has not really responded to medication, does hypnotherapy work, anyone tried it out
Every individual is different. I have heard this method does work well with some people. I have not personally tried it as medication has helped me. Has she tried a different medication? There are plenty out there and available for her Dr to prescribe her. Sometimes it takes 2-3 different ones mixed together to work.

Have her try Exercising that will help.

I recently went to a seminar at a local hospital on ECT, electro confulsive therapy. It sounds scarey, but has been proven to work very well for patients who are clinically depressed and medication resistant. Look it up on the web!

It depends on why she is depressed in the first place. Hypnotherapy is one of the many therapies that can help. However, I suggest that you do more research to find out which therapy can possibly help her best or to seek the help of a naturopathic doctor. She may need a combination of therapies to help regulate her moods.
