I believe I have come across a fraudulent diploma?
Published by admin on July 26, 2010It has the name of school, signatures and a date of graduation on it but I have been told by several people this person clinical hypnotherapy degree is not real. How would I go about investigating this?
The degree must be authorized by a state authority… contact that authority and make your inquiry.
**** School records are CONFIDENTIAL… no school will release them to you without a subpoena.

Call the school.
They will have records of every student they have graduated.

What are you collecting diploma’s for anyway? You should be contacting the school directly and requesting a transcript…

Find the school’s Internet site and call the registrar’s office number listed there. They should quickly be able to confirm the degree if you have their name and SS#.

First of all, you don’t do credentialing checks on your employees at your job? In the clinical field? What a lawsuit!! You should have been on the phone calling the school instead of on yahoo asking what to do? No wonder you were played.

There may not be a state board of hypnotherapy. But you can call the american board of physcians and check the name on the certificate. you can do this for insurance persons, doctors, lawyers, and much more and check the names on the board. Check on the internet first. Go the state and then check for the name of the person. The degree you are looking at may simply be a school and only legal in its own value no more. lol

Diplomas are not proof, only official school transcripts with degrees posted.
