Does hypnosis to quit smoking work?
Published by admin on June 30, 2010I am looking into going to a hypnosis to quit smoking and wanted to know if it works and about how much it cost, please let me know if you have tried it or know anyone who has, and what was the outcome. Thanks
It varies from person to person. Not everyone is susceptible to being hypnotized.
My (now ex) husband & I went for a private session and it was quite expensive. I think it was about $100 for each of us. It worked for him, but not for me. The therapist who did the hypnosis was recommended to us by friends who had seen him as well.
Of all the people I know who have tried hypnosis to quit smoking, about 50% of them found success with it.

It worked for me, I went to one of those seminars that are advertised in the paper for about $35 (although that was fifteen years ago, so it might be more now)–I didn’t think it would, but I went with three other people, and to this day we all are still not smoking. Best of all, there was no physical withdrawal symptoms, I was a little moody the first few days, and then it passed. Never have had the urge to smoke again, in fact, I can’t stand the smell of cigarette smoke anymore. Oh, and I didn’t gain any weight after either. Good luck, give it a try!!
