   The crying is when she is having an associated feeling around a negative event in her past, that is so realistic to her and so powerful, she has what is known as, an ” abreaction “.
   Which is simply an abnormal reaction and the client can be steered away from that feeling very quickly.
   It’s a part of the therapeutic process and it’s probably those dark moments in a clients past, that trigger the urge to smoke.
