Have you used hypnosis to stop smoking?
Published by admin on July 22, 2010Have you or anyone you know used hypnosis to stop smoking? Was it successful? I’d like to hear about your experience.
Hello
From a Hypnotherapist angle, as not a smoker, yes it can.
The client, however has to want it for the right reasons & is an excellent support tool as withdrawal is travelled through. In some cases one session can be enough.

No, Hypnosis is bullshit

Yes. It does not work.

Partly successful — it got me down to five a day (from maybe 30) but then it stopped working.
The fellow who said that hypnosis is BS is full of it, BTW. The only question here is whether it will work for you, and that depends on several things — whether you’re a good hypnotic subject, how addicted you are, etc.

Quitting smoking does not require hypnosis. This method is expensive, time consuming and does not work for the vast majority. I do agree that in order to successfully quit you need to deal with the psychological side of smoking. But do you really need information to be force feed into your brain, I highly doubt it.
If you really want to quit you must discover the reasons why you smoke and then eliminate or change these thought processes. You can do this yourself, it is totally unnecessary to pay someone a ridiculous amount of money to do this for you.
