This is an extremely simplified version of anchoring. For demonstration purposes only, laughter (having an overt manifestation) has been used in this video to represent an altered mindset or emotional state. When hypnosis is used to address serious issues (such as anxiety and athletic performance), the process of anchoring and creating accessing cues is far more complicated than what is shown here.

However, the danger of hypnosis (specifically recreational hypnosis) lies in not properly learning suggestion formation and the effects of hypnosis, being sloppy with suggestions (not knowing what to avoid doing), and not following strict ethics—to name just a few things.

Please be careful. Learn hypnosis ethics, safety and proper execution before you attempt to hypnotize anyone.
